The Flow Hydrate Pro formula provides hydration with essential electrolytes to mitigate these adverse effects. Ideally, one must drink 150 mL to 250 mL of electrolyte fluids per hour if one feels dehydration symptoms or low sodium levels. For reference, one cup holds 236 mL of fluids.
Journey work pushes both the mind and body to their limits. Substances like MDMA, mushrooms, and ketamine elevate metabolic activity, increasing body temperature and heart rate. As heat builds, the body loses moisture, leading to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.
MDMA, in particular, disrupts the body's ability to regulate water and sodium by impairing the antidiuretic hormone (ADH). This causes sodium levels to drop (hyponatremia), leading to an excess of water in the cells while depleting it from the bloodstream. The result is systemic dehydration, which can impact overall function and recovery.
One sachet of Flow Hydrate Pro provides 7% of sodium, 2% of potassium, 3% calcium, 3% magnesium, and 8% chloride of daily recommended intake. These quantities are equivalent to the amount of electrolytes obtained from one meal of a low-sodium diet. When used in moderation, Flow Hydrate Pro can restore the normal physiological balance of electrolytes without any undesired effects.
Increased body temperature, lower sodium levels, and dehydration can prompt people to drink more water or other hypotonic fluids (fluids with low electrolytes), which can worsen the body's sodium and electrolyte balance.
Physical activity like dancing, heat during summer, or humidity can also amplify these side effects in crowded places like clubs and concerts.
The common symptoms of systemic dehydration are:
Dry mouth, lips, or eyes
Lethargy (boredom and laziness)
Muscle cramps (excluding jaw tightness)
Common symptoms associated with hyponatremia (low sodium) are:
Headaches
Muscle cramps
Nausea and vomiting
Confusion
Loss of energy
Precautions!
Do not drink hypotonic fluids (fluids with low electrolytes), such as mineral water and soft drinks, which can worsen dehydration symptoms.
Do not overhydrate by drinking too much fluids. Drinking more than 250 mL per hour of fluids can cause overhydration.
